We can support you with all conversions of digital Betacam, Betacam SX tape to any digital file from DVD to uncompressed Quicktime, Pro-Res or AVI files
Digital Betacam, (Digibeta or D-Beta) was introduced by Sony in 1993 as a replacement to the analogue Betacam SP format. Digital Betacam was a prefered tape to DVCam and DVCPro because of its affordability. Digital Betacam was used by professionals but unfortunately it did not become industry standard like its predecessor.
Cassette sizes are no different than the other Beta versions: S =small tapes record up to 40 minutes, L = large tapes record up to 124 minutes.
You can recognise Digital Betacam cassettes because they are light blue records with 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 compression. PAL resolution is 720×576, NTSC resolution is 720×480. The bitrate is 90 Mbit/s. There are 5 audio channels — 4 main channels (uncompressed 48KHz PCM) and 1 cue track.High Quality Equipment Noise Removal Audio Separations Audio Authoring and Mastering
