WHY SHOULD YOU TRANSFER YOUR PRECIOUS FAMILY MEDIA?
Tapes deteriorate. Cine film can be unusable due to sticky syndrome, a rather nasty vinegar syndrome that will rot the film. Photos and other family media that are in the attic with fluctuating temperatures will get affected. So it is very important to have these very old family memories put onto a more modern DVD, CD, USB or digital files.
First family tapes and media can deteriorate! All those tapes in the loft or cine film in boxes in the garage. They do need to be converted before time forces them to become unwatchable. In England the temperature fluxuates rapidly which causes this deterioration. For safety and prevervation please do have these memories transferred sooner rather than later.
