We use high-quality BookEye scanning technology that can support books upto A1 in size. Book scanning can be prepared in 2 ways. Non-destructive, whereby we digitise each page by hand. Options include Archival TIFF, JPEG and PDF. Or Destructive book scanning, whereby the spines are guillotined and the pages processed through our batch scanners. Digital images are scanned at a minimum 300 dpi in PDF or TIFF format with options upto 600dpi. Documents are scanned greyscale and colour using sharpening and colour correction techniques to match the original item at time of scanning.
