Our studio is supported by our AWS and Blackmagic Workstations using dedicated cloud servers to convert your professional broadcast tapes into high quality digital files for either editing purposes or archival preservation.
The benefits of converting your broadcast tapes include archival and space, editable on any timeline, cloud storage, creation of DVDs if requested and files can be easily placed onto Flash Drive or other external media.
TAPE BAKING STICKY SHED SYNDROME
Some tapes may require baking to remove moisture caused by Sticky Shed Syndrome. This is usually experienced with U-matic tapes and associated due to a breakdown in the glue (binder) that holds the oxide atoms onto the tape. Typical signs are squealing as the tape passes through the head. Without baking this will transmit through the ouput and will damage the tape and/or players.
